Two firefighters died in Moscow, having to save from the fire three children and one adult, the website of the Moscow Central Board MOE.
Information about the fire in the apartment in the North of Moscow was received by the MOE on February 27 at 21:48. The fire occurred on the last 16th floor of a residential building.
“During the reconnaissance and extinguishing of fire and rescue units from a burning apartment was rescued 4 people, including 3 children”, – stated in the message MES.
When people are brought out of the apartment, rescuers returned to the scene of the fire for the evacuation of residents of neighboring apartments. “When preparations for the protection of escape routes was a violation of the glazing and abundant emission of flame,” — said in the MOE.
33-year-old Mikhail Fomin and 35-year-old Alexander Drewski from 41 pieces of firefighting and rescue died from his injuries on the spot. Fomin was previously awarded the medal “For bravery on fire”.
Have Raevskogo is survived by his wife and 13-year-old daughter.
Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin expressed condolences to the families and friends of emergency workers.
“Yesterday, rescuing people in the fire, heroically killed two employees of the Ministry of emergency situations Mikhail Fomin and Alexander Gruevski. Condolences to their families and friends. Will render all necessary assistance and support. The city will remember the names of their heroes,” – wrote Sergei Sobyanin on Twitter.
