Divers and firefighters have resumed the search Sunday morning, to find a man of 19 years that would have sunk in the waters of the Sainte-Anne river in the Portneuf regional municipality.
The young man has been missing for 18 h, Saturday night, when the four other members of the group saw him disappear under the water at the height of the municipality of Saint-Alban.
The group is alleged to be engaging in swimming in the river. Unable to find their missing friend, the quartet contacted the authorities about thirty minutes later.
Firefighters, paramedics and police officers have spent the better part of the evening trying to locate the young man in the river, navigating using boats.
The research in the evening, however, proved unsuccessful. A second deployment was put in place on Sunday, with divers in reinforcement.
