Executive Director of “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Yuriy Vitrenko said that the company sent in the Stockholm arbitration court a counter claim against Gazprom for $12 billion it posted in your Facebook.
“Sent in the Stockholm arbitration court a “Statement of defence and counter claim,” wrote Vitrenko.
He explained that “Naftogaz of Ukraine” appealed to arbitration on July 6, 2018 with the requirement about revision of the transit tariff valid from March 13, 2018 and the payment of compensation for failure to comply with Gazprom’s obligations to provide to transit at least 110 billion cubic meters per year starting in 2018. Gazprom filed its counter-statement “About the claim” 14 July 2019.
“Now it is our turn to file a “Statement of defense and counter claim”, – summed up the Director.
“Naftogaz” expects to receive 12 billion dollars.
“Only the main text of our statement exceeds 500 pages. Attached is 3 of the report of the international experts that were specially developed. Also included witness statements and a lot of other apps,” he shared details Vitrenko.
As compensation for the previous decision of the Stockholm arbitration, Ukraine has already received the gas cost more than $ 2 billion., which was supplied by Gazprom to Ukraine.
“Gazprom still needs us $ 3 billion. We expect that we will write off the debt in 2020,” wrote Yury Vitrenko.
