This decision was taken in connection with the necessity for faster movement of NATO forces
NATO warplanes will be prioritized to be handled by controllers in managing air traffic over Europe. About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
According to him, air traffic controllers in Europe will give priority to NATO aircraft to civil flights.
“Our forces were secure, we need to be able to move quickly. Now we will be able to fly across Europe with priority processing is what we call rapid air mobility,” – said Stoltenberg.
Stoltenberg said that the allied aircraft supporting the mission of the Alliance, will get the call sign NATO.
