NBC’s interest in primetime remains steady with coverage of the 2020 Olympics, but the network saw its first, albeit minor, success in viewers on Monday night.
Monday’s primetime sporting events, which were the USA vs. . Monday night’s numbers saw a 12% drop in viewers from Sunday (4.1, 17.0M).
Despite the drop, the 2020 Olympics continues to be a hit for NBC, which revealed that viewers have already streamed more than 1 billion minutes of Olympics content through NBCOlympics.com, the NBC Sports app, and Peacock. NBC said this year marked the fastest achievement of the viewing milestone.
NBC also shared that, by Total Audience Delivery viewership, the Tokyo Olympics held three of the 15 most-watched primetime nights in 2021, each being the first night of competition.
Behind NBC’s Tokyo Olympics Coverage, The Latest ABC Episode High school it returned to 3.59 million viewers and a rating of 0.8 in its two-hour time slot. Celebrity Dating Game (0.3, 1.60M) closed the night of ABC.
FOX and CBS Monday night consisted of reruns. The CW watched the season 3 premiere of Roswell New Mexico, which earned a 0.1 rating and aired to .613 million viewers. Republic of Sarah (0.0, .285M) followed.
