The u.s. giant of streaming had already announced similar measures in Europe last week, in order to comply with a request of the european Union. The platform YouTube, owned by Google, had opened the way a few days ago by reducing the quality of their videos everywhere in the world.
A result of the containment measures, the increase of telecommuting and online entertainment has overloaded internet networks. The decrease of the video quality of Netflix in a lower 25% in bandwidth usage. The american multinational provides, however, that its subscribers will continue to watch its content in high-definition or even 4K.
