SAGUENAY | health authorities wish that more young people, aged 15 to 34 years of age, submit themselves to the screening test. In Saguenay, a walk-in clinic opened its doors on Tuesday morning and so no more need to wait days to find out if you are a carrier of the COVID-19.
“This is a really good idea, it’s going to secure the population, it is a good initiative”, informed citizens.
On Tuesday, the first walk-in clinic saw the light of day in the sector of Arvida. “As soon as we heard the news, we came and it encourages people to like us,” said a couple of the sector, VAT New.
All citizens asymptomatic are invited to come get tested.
“It’s simple, the whole process, it takes about five minutes. You arrive with your insurance card, you fill a small form to give your contact details to receive the results, you do the test and lo and behold, the turn is played,” said a man coming out of the clinic.
“It begins to make more beautiful, young people are more outside and they want to get together “, pointed to a young citizen of 22 years.
“Often, people in this age group do not have any symptoms. They love to gather and, therefore, it is essential to test to verify,” said Manon Savard, assistant director of professional services at CIUSSS Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.
“It is correct that they offer this kind of clinical, I think it is a good idea, because with the work we are in contact with many people,” said another young.
The citizens of Lac-Saint-Jean will also be able to do the same as soon as Wednesday thanks to a mobile clinic. Another will open its doors at the hospital of Dolbeau-Mistassini, Thursday.
For those who wish to take the test, simply show up with a health insurance card or hospital card at one of the clinics.
