Like all other large gatherings cultural planned this summer in Quebec, the Festival des arts de Saint-Sauveur sees its next edition to be completely turned upside down by the pandemic COVID-19.
In order to meet the government recommendations – of which the distance of two metres, the organisers were forced to cancel the celebrations outside related to their 29th edition scheduled to be held from 30 July to 9 August.
However, in a press release issued Wednesday, they announced to develop a digital initiative they should be able to present shortly.
The programming of the event, under the artistic direction of Guillaume Côté was scheduled to be unveiled on may 4.
Full of excitement at the level of the crowd, the Festival des arts de Saint-Sauveur put a lot on the different styles of dance, and the expressions of classical music. Last year, the troops Dorrance Dance, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet, as well as the Orchestre Métropolitain, under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the musicians of les Violons du Roy performed.
