The company “Mont Blanc Funivie” announced the closure of the approach (steps) to the glacier Tula (Toula Glacier) for security purposes.
Approach to the glacier will remain closed for the entire winter season 2019/2020 year.
The reason for the closure was the increased risk of dangers of clicking on ladder design for tourists.
“Given the impossibility of checking the state of the upper transition, which is currently partially occupied by a glacier and a large accumulation of snow, and also taking into account the General geostructural interpretation of the situation, we can not guarantee the minimum safety requirements during the transition to glacier Tula.
