Operators of gas transportation system of Ukraine and Poland introduce new rules

Operators of GTS Poland and Ukraine agreed on the terms of cooperation at the points of connection of the GTS – Germanovichi and Drozdovychi, which is entirely based on European practices and legislation Esob it reports a press-service of JSC “Ukrtransgaz”.
So, at the point of connection Germanovichi from December 1 will be possible operations for a virtual reversal and allocation will occur in accordance with operational balancing account (OBA), which is not reset each month, in full compliance with the requirements of EU network codes.
At the point of connection Drozdovychi from 1 January 2020 transportation services of natural gas will be offered in full compliance with the network codes of the EU, including the possibility of virtual reverse, and allocation in accordance with the operational balancing account. The press service recalled that before the end of this year, this point is blocked by the current contract with Gazprom.
“The changes in the agreement on cooperation of operators – another step towards bringing the rules of operation of the connection points on the Polish-Ukrainian border with EU requirements, – is told in the message. – Given the fact that the process of separating the independent operator GTS of Ukraine is still ongoing, the parties also agreed on the rules of cooperation to ensure continuity, both ends of a connection, namely the transfer of the agreements on interaction of JSC “Ukrtransgaz” to “the Operator of Ukraine’s GTS” after the completion of the separation, i.e. from 1 January 2020.”
Also continuing the negotiation process relative to other connection points at the exit of the Ukrainian GTS. From 1 January after completion of the transit contract between NAK “Naftogaz Ukraine” and OJSC “Gazprom” interaction between the operator of Ukraine’s GTS and related operators will be possible only in accordance with the European business rules.
