Ottawa hopes to repatriate more than 10,000 Canadians stuck abroad

The minister of foreign Affairs of Canada, François-Philippe Champagne said on Monday morning that his government wanted to repatriate more than 10,000 people in the next week.

“We will not be able to bring everyone back”, warned the minister, who was in interview with Mario Dumont in LCN.

Although the canadian government has asked all its nationals to return home as quickly as possible, while commercial flights were still available, they are tens of thousands to be stranded abroad.

Mr. Champagne has also announced earlier this morning on Twitter that three Air Canada flights to go of Canadians in Peru this week.
