Two vehicles parked next to each other caught fire at the same time overnight from Saturday to Sunday, in Laval, and the fire quickly spread to the commercial building.
The Laval police officers, who are leading the investigation, say they have every reason to believe that it is an arson attack.
They were called to go there around 4:35 a.m., when the flames had spread to the building, located on Boulevard de la Concorde Ouest at the corner of Rue de Cluny.
Although the structure of the business is seriously damaged, no one was injured, the Laval Police Department said.
Sunday morning, around 6 a.m., the blaze had been brought under control and the firefighters were preparing to leave the scene.
Police say they are continuing their investigation.
