A man from Maryland will have to spend the next year behind bars after holding two parties when it was banned due to the health crisis.
Last March, police intervened at 42-year-old Shawn Marshall Myers.
More than fifty people were present while gatherings of more than 10 people were prohibited. At this first party, Myers agreed to send people away.
Despite this incident, he decided to have another party five days later. This time, he refused to listen to the police.
He was found guilty on two counts of failing to cooperate with law enforcement.
