Russian President Vladimir Putin sent President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulations on the independence Day, which this year coincides with the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders. This was reported on the Kremlin website.
Russians and Belarusians revere the memory of the courage and heroism of those who in the grim years of war, came to the defense of the Fatherland, said in greeting the President.
“It is important that the ties of fraternal friendship and mutual assistance, the legacy of fathers and grandfathers, and today are key to the strength of Russian-Belarusian relations”, – said Putin.
He also expressed confidence that Russia and Belarus will continue to develop constructive bilateral cooperation in all fields, as well as mutually beneficial integration processes in the framework of the Union state in Eurasian space.
