Russian President Vladimir Putin called for the formation of the Eurasia partnership based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit. The relevant statements he made on Friday at a summit of the Shanghai cooperation organization (SCO) in Bishkek, reports TASS.
“We believe a very promising pairing of the EAEU with the implementation of the Chinese program “One belt and one road”, and in General, the formation in the future of the great Eurasian partnership and build its space an open, equal and constructive cooperation based on the principles and norms of international law, without any political and economic selfishness, and taking account of the legitimate interests of each other”, – Putin said.
The President promised that Russia will continue to cooperate with the SCO on issues of integration processes in Eurasia, as well as in the harmonization of national development strategies and regional economic projects.
The President said that during the Russian presidency of the SCO special attention will be paid to strengthening cultural-humanitarian ties and, in particular, implementation of agreements on cooperation in the field of media, sport and tourism.
Vladimir Putin also congratulated Kyrgyzstan on the successful chairmanship and invited participants to the next summit in Russia on July 22-23, 2020.
