Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed with the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe on attracting Japanese technologies and investments for the implementation of the Russian national projects. He stated this on Saturday at the final press conference after talks in Osaka, reports TASS.
The President said that Moscow and Tokyo issued a joint statement on cooperation between the two countries, which is the development of a plan to cooperate in eight areas proposed by the Japanese side and the Russian strategy of trade and economic cooperation.
Putin drew attention that the Russian market in this market there are 270 Japanese companies, and also appreciated the activities of the Russian-Japanese investment Fund. In addition, the Russian leader highlighted the growth of bilateral trade: according to the President, the trade turnover between the two countries by the end of 2018 grew by 17%, and in April 2019 has increased by 7%.
“This suggests that effectively operates the Russian-Japanese intergovernmental Commission, consistently implemented projects in eight directions proposed by Mr Abe and Russian strategy for the expansion of trade and economic cooperation”, – said the head of state.
