Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday congratulated the staff of the Federal service for ecological, technological and nuclear supervision (Rostekhnadzor) with the tercentenary of the institution of mining supervision. The text of the message published on the Kremlin website.
Putin noted that the history of Rostekhnadzor is inextricably linked with the strengthening of economic, industrial and energy potential of the country. The head of state stressed that during its existence the service has done a tremendous job of ensuring security at industrial and mining infrastructure, prevention of technogenic accidents and disasters, nature conservation, as well as the life and health of people.
The Russian leader has noticed that the staff of the Supervisory authority implementing modern and effective methods of work, not forgetting the tradition and experience and show competence and dedication to professional duty.
The Federal authority for mining, environmental and engineering supervision appeared in Russia in 1719. It was founded by decree of Peter I. the modern form of the Rostekhnadzor established in 2004: the service has replaced the pre-Gosgortechnadzor.
