The presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Vladimir Putin, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Shavkat Mirziyoev as well as leaders of several other countries arrived in Dushanbe, where Friday will start the V summit of the conference on interaction and confidence building measures in Asia (CICA), RIA “Novosti”.
On the agenda – security and prosperity of the Asian region. During the summit, representatives of the delegations will Express their positions and give proposals on issues of security, stability and economic cooperation in the region.
In addition, representatives of 27 member countries of the CICA, will discuss the situation in Afghanistan, Syria, the middle East, the Korean Peninsula, and also around the deal on Iran’s nuclear program.
The first summit will be the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, followed by Chinese President XI Jinping, whose country hosted the Meeting last time. After it will be the turn of the head of the security Council of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who founded the CICA.
The Meeting involved 27 countries: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Vietnam, Egypt, India, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, China, Mongolia, UAE, Palestine, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka as well as 13 observers, among them some of the state and the unions: Belarus, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, USA, Ukraine, Philippines, Japan, UN, League of Arab States, International organization for migration, OSCE and the parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries.
