This was stated by the special representative of the United States Ukraine Kurt Volker’s meeting with Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov, according to “Public”.
“At the last meeting Russia, in my opinion, was more open to the idea of a broader mandate for the peacekeeping mission. It can start with the line of contact, and then be placed in the wider area. In the end we will have a peacekeeping mission in all areas,” said Walker.
He added that the Russian side can provide an updated proposal on how to according to the Kremlin needs to work peacekeepers in the Donbas.
“We will see whether the return of the Russian side with an updated proposal as, in their opinion, should work. And then we will consider this proposal,” – said Walker.
