The pitcher of the New York Yankees Masahiro Tanaka received an arrow directly at the head, on Saturday, during a workout at Yankee Stadium.
The right-hander was fighting his team-mate Giancarlo Stanton and he was accidentally shot in the face. The gunner collapsed to the ground and stayed there for a few minutes. He was then escorted off the pitch by members of the medical team of the Bombers in the Bronx. Thankfully, Tanaka was able to get out on its own two feet.
“He [Tanaka] is now conscious, he is alert and is able to walk by himself, has written the formation of the big apple on his Twitter account. He was transported to the Hospital Presbyterian in New York city for an evaluation and additional testing.”
In 2020, the Japanese 31-year-old will play his seventh season in the uniform of the Yankees. Last year, he has maintained a record of 11-9 and an average of points earned from 4.45 in 32 games. He has 75 wins in a career with the training of new york city.
