Seattle Kraken Draft 30; no superstars taken

Seattle Kraken’s expansion picks were sent to the league this morning, and after the conclusion of tonight’s expansion draft, it all became official. It was quite an anticlimactic night, as all the peaks had been accurately filtered throughout the day. It’s important to note that considering some puzzling player picks and a large amount of cap space, more Kraken moves should occur later this week.

The Kraken ends up with $ 29 million in capitalization space, via CapFriendly. Notable RFAs include Twarynski, Dunn, Borgen, and Cholowski. They might be looking for players like Geekie to make the full-time jump to the NHL next season, but for now, the list seems relatively complete. It is to be expected at this point that some defenders will be removed from the list, as they are currently 10 at the NHL level and none of them are eligible for the exemption.
