Sharapova withdrew from the WTA tournament due to injury

Russian Maria Sharapova withdrew from the tournament the Women’s tennis Association (WTA) in Rome due a shoulder injury, reports the press service of the competition.

Place a 32-year-old Russians in the draw of the tournament in Rome is Victoria Kuzmova from Slovakia.

The last time Sharapova came out on court at the end of January on tournament in St.-Petersburg. In the first round, she defeated Australian Daria Gavrilova, and then withdrew from the tournament because of an injured right shoulder. She has damaged ligaments during training.

Maria Sharapova takes 28th place in the ranking of WTA, is a five-time winner of the tournament series Grand slam. On account of its 39 victories on tournaments of Female tennis Association.
