A grocery store in Pennsylvania has had to throw for nearly$ 35,000 from products charges after a woman was coughing intentionally on the merchandise.
The woman was at the Gerrity”s Supermarket in the county of Hanover on Wednesday afternoon.
She would have coughed on bakery products, meat, and several other foods, indicates the owner of the trade on his page Facebook.
The authorities do not believe that the woman, whose identity has not been revealed, is reached from the COVID-19. It will nevertheless be tested in order to have the heart net.
It is known in the region as being a person “with problems”, reports the New York Post.
“If there is no doubt that this woman has made a joke very twisted, we do not take any risk for the health and well-being of our clients. We had no other choice than to throw all products with which it has been in contact, ” wrote the owner.
He quickly called the police during the incident, and a couple of employees of the municipality responsible for the safety of the food came to disinfect the store.
The case is in the hands of the prosecutor of the district, and charges could be filed against the woman.
