A Drummondville hotelier has found a brilliant way to weather the pandemic and brighten the lives of snowbirds: an all-inclusive, just like in southern countries.
Fans of sun destinations can therefore have access, by going to the Hotel and Suites Le Dauphin, to a room with a kitchenette, parking, meals and access to the swimming pool.
In Quebec, there are between 150,000 to 250,000 snowbirds. Of this number, many live in their trailers all year round and find themselves caught off guard with the pandemic. They will be nailed to Quebec this winter.
While the Drummondville initiative is causing a lot of reaction and arousing interest, many snowbirds are waiting to book. They still have hopes that the Canada-US border will reopen by the end of the year.
Hard hit by the current crisis, the hotel complex hopes to do well by offering this new service.
