The mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin announced on Sunday the launch of a new capital bus station “North gate”. The station is located near the metro station “Khovrino”, said the mayor on Twitter.
Sobyanin said that the station was included in the transport interchange hub “Khovrino”. There will be of redirected flights, long distance bus station Tushino.
“North gates” will be able to send Muscovites and guests of the capital to St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Smolensk, and in the Belarusian town of Gomel, in Chisinau, Moldova and the Estonian Tartu.
In may, representatives of GUP “Mosgortrans” said that the station has eight platforms for the departure of the buses long-distance and international flights and four tarmac arrival of the machines. To services of passengers – camera storage, located on different floors, comfortable Lounges, a café, room mother and child, and the Elevator for handicapped people.
The mayor added that currently, the volume of passenger flow is about a thousand people a day, but this number is expected to increase to 3.7 thousand by 2023. In addition, over time, new directions will appear.
