L’Espagne accentuera son déconfinement lundi

Spain will continue from Monday the relaxation of containment measures, which will allow 70 % of the population to go to the restaurant, to the pool and re-open more widely stores, announced Thursday the authorities.

“The evolution of the figures is very good,” said the director of the centre for health alerts, Fernando Simon during a press conference, in spite of the “small foci of contagion, very local” spotted since the beginning of the déconfinement.

During the past 24 hours, 38 deaths, have been recorded and 182 new cases. The total revised constantly to eliminate the duplicates now stands at 27 119 people dead and 237 906 cases confirmed by PCR testing.

Spain has started on may 11, a déconfinement very progressive in several phases, which should be spread until the end of June.

New areas of the country will on Monday move to the second stage, which allows the use of swimming pools (with limited capacity), and the beaches, where it will be necessary to maintain a distance of at least two meters between each person, or group.

The whole of Andalusia and the Valencia region, a large part of Catalonia and the Balearic and Canary islands will be able to move to phase 2, announced the ministry of Health.

Approximately 70 % of all Spaniards will be affected by this new stage, which also includes the re-opening of cinemas, theatres and concert halls, at one-third the normal capacity, as well as shopping centers, with 40 % of the audience.

It also allows you to eat inside restaurants and more, only on the terrace.

A third of the population will remain at the previous phase — each phase must last at least fifteen days, in particular the regions of Madrid and Barcelona, the main foci of contamination of the pandemic.

About 45 000 people living on very small islands of the Canaries and the Balearic islands will move on to phase 3, which authorizes among other things the re-opening of nightclubs, with only a third of clients.
