A individual 42-year-old was arrested on Saturday night at Stanstead, in Estrie, after a major man-hunt to try to locate in the municipality, located not far from the u.s. border.
Sébastien Labelle, was arrested by police Saturday evening at about 23 h on the way to Hackett in Stanstead, after research that lasted part of the evening.
At the time of going to press, it should be met by the investigators of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The SQ was called to respond to a call regarding a man who allegedly opened fire about dinner time after a dispute with members of his family, by the way Curtis, Stanstead. The suspect had then fled into the wooded area near the residence.
Dozens of police officers from the SQ and the royal Canadian mounted police have been deployed in the area, in the vicinity of highway 55, in an attempt to locate it.
Gunshots have been heard in the middle of the evening, according to residents in the area.
