MONTREAL | The fast food chain Subway announced Saturday the re-opening of some fifty branches of which the counters will be welcoming new clients.
“While nearly half of its branches will serve the public, or about 300 locations, Subway will reopen later gradually other restaurants in Quebec,” said Subway by press release.
In all cases, the restaurants will continue to offer orders for take-out or delivery only, we said, and this, “in order to ensure the health and safety of its customers and its employees”
The company also stressed that it has increased its contribution to food Banks Canada by donating two million meals, “in order to also help to serve meals to those that the crisis is affecting the most,” said by news release Nathalie Emard, vice-president, Restaurants Subway Quebec, stating that for each delivery, two additional dollars will also be paid to the organization.
“We’ll be delivering meals to hospital staff who are the front line for all of us”, she added.
