    Support movement for Elvis, a Kosovar high school student from Castel threatened with expulsion

    Elvis, 17, high school student at Castel in Dijon, arrived in France five years ago from Kosovo, is threatened with expulsion from French territory. Described as a brilliant student, perfectly integrated, he is supported by the students and a collective.

Since then, students, teachers and groups have mobilized. Several dozen people gathered in the courtyard of the establishment on Thursday. A petition was also launched, which in two days collected more than 2,000 signatures.

    A new gathering scheduled for Monday

    “Elvis must stay at Castel, pass the French baccalaureate this year without fearing at every moment of his life (he is 17 years old) to be embarked in a detention center, a sinister prelude to the plane. We ask for a residence permit for his mother covering the duration of Elvis’ studies “, writes the collective. A new gathering is scheduled for Monday January 11, 2021 at 1 p.m. in front of the school.
