The attacker Sven Baertschi has indicated to the Vancouver Canucks that he will not participate in playoffs this summer.
“Sven informed us late yesterday [Friday] that it has chosen to withdraw from the plan and return to the game of the NHL, has written the organization of British Columbia on his Twitter account. It was a difficult decision, but one we respect and understand. We have added a Kole Lind in the lineup and we focus on the training camp and we’ve been preparing for it.”
He is the second player in less than 24 hours to withdraw from the tournament, after the defender Travis Hamonic, of the Calgary Flames.
This season, the first-round (13th overall) of the Calgary Flames in 2011, has played most of the season in the american League, with the Comets to Utica, where he collected 46 points in 43 games. He also played six games with the Canucks, scoring two points.
In the case of Kole Lind, the player added to the alignment, it is a choice of the second round (33rd overall) in 2017 Canucks. The attacker was in his second full season in the professional ranks. He collected 44 points in 61 games with the Comets this season.
