MONTREAL – Québec solidaire, a request to the minister of Finance Eric Girard to postpone until the 1st July tax returns.
This deferral of an additional month is necessary in view of the evolution of the health situation related to pandemic COVID-19.
“We can’t penalize the citizens, because we asked them to stay at home: the government must provide an additional delay”, said Sunday Vincent Marissal in a press release.
The member of parliament for Rosemont points out that this deferral would also allow clinical taxes to help a larger number of people to file their declaration within the required time frame.
“Grant an additional time limit of one month for the submission of income tax returns would give a little air to many households in precarious which depend on the clinical tax to fill in their tax return”, stressed the head of solidarity in the area of economic justice and tax.
As they were delayed in their activities, clinics, income tax may not be able to meet the demand, is worried about Mr. Marissal.
