It’s as if the whole world believed in the premiere of the second season of Ted lasso.
The premiere of the second season of the comedy season, which debuted last week on Apple TV +, broke a slew of streaming records for the company’s streaming service.
Apple has highlighted a number of metrics for the debut of the second season of Ted lasso, including increasing new Apple TV + viewers by 50% week over week:
- During the Ted Lasso season 2 premiere weekend from July 23-25, Apple TV + increased its new viewers by a record 50% week over week. There was a halo effect, with Ted Lasso helping to increase ratings for the Apple TV + comedies Schmigadoon, Physical, and Mythic Quest also over the three-day period.
- The audience for the first weekend of the second season of Ted Lasso was six times higher than the audience for the opening weekend of the series last year.
- Released on Apple TV + in more than 100 countries, Ted Lasso’s season 2 opening led to Apple TV + a 200% audience increase compared to the previous weekend in the US, UK, Canada, India, Italy, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, France and more.
The first episode of the second season of Ted lasso it is now streaming on Apple TV +. In the second episode, titled “Lavender,” Lasso is shocked when a familiar face appears and Roy, who retired from AFC Richmond last season, tries a new job. The new episode will premiere on the streaming service this Friday.
