    A cancellation as a setback for the City of Paris. The administrative court canceled the building permit for a social housing complex and a school located in the 16th arrondissement.

    According to information from Figaro, the administrative court ruled that the building permit had been granted in disregard of several provisions of the local urban plan (PLU). And the judges to affirm that it undermined “the ecological balance and the plant quality of the land of the project, burdened with a servitude of protected green space”. The court had been referred to the association for the preservation of the rue Erlanger neighborhood (APQE),

    This project has been at the heart of a battle for several years between the district town hall and the central town hall. On Twitter, the town hall of the 16th indicated that it was “urgent that the City of Paris renews dialogue with the city hall of the 16th arrondissement and residents”.

    According to the administrative court, the project does not fit “harmoniously” into the environment of the district, which is “mostly stone buildings or covered with a facing”. But the land remains constructible and projects can see the light of day there.
