The Antimonopoly Committee (AMCU) has punished a number of Ukrainian enterprises in the total amount of 2.55 million UAH for the indication on the packaging of food products of false information, reported on the Agency’s website.
Most anti-monopolists fined LLC “Lesaffre Ukraine” (Dnipropetrovsk region). The company was penalized for UAH 2 million for the design of packaging of alcohol yeast in such a way that it resembled the packaging of another brand, which is present in the market for a longer time.
On the second place in terms of sanctions turned out to Novo-vodolaz’ke oil and fat plant (Zhytomyr region). Was fined 250 thousand UAH for the fact that your product wrote “Vinegar”, which contained the synthetic food acetic acid.
In third place – OOO “ays Zaporozhia” and LLC “ice cream Factory Khladoprom” (Zaporozhye region). Each of them was fined 150 thousand UAH for the distribution of packages of ice cream of information on the presence in the product of drinking cow’s milk, which actually was not used.
We will remind that else in December of last year the Verkhovna Rada in the second reading and as a whole adopted the law “On information to consumers regarding food products” No. 8450, which became the basis of Regulation EU 1169. The document identifies the shared information requirements on food products. Indicated what information is required to provide, and which can be applied on a voluntary basis.
