On this last day of Major League Baseball's regular season, the Los Angeles Angels thanked general manager Billy Eppler.
The Californian club made the announcement on its Twitter account on Sunday.
In office since the 2016 campaign, the 45-year-old has never seen his training be a playoff. In 2020, the Angels maintained a 26-34 record, which placed them 11th in the American League.
There was one season left on the GM's contract, who had obtained an extension of his agreement last July.
Eppler's great achievements have been the recruitment of Japanese Shohei Ohtani and Anthony Rendon. He also made mistakes in awarding contracts to gunners Matt Harvey and Julio Teheran.
During Eppler's reign, the Angels had one of the worst pitching rotations in major league baseball.
