Belarusian publishers have become the best in the prestigious competition “Art of book”, reports “WORLD 24”. They won 20 awards.
Success publishers have made in such categories as “Commonwealth”, “My country” and “Book for children”. The Grand Prix went to the encyclopedia in three volumes, dedicated to the Belarusian poet Yanka Kupala.
The number of medals Belarus occupies in the competition for first place. Diplomas to the winners will be awarded at the Moscow international book exhibition-fair in September.
“We in Belarus do not book for myself, not for competition, not for show, we do a book for man, for men. The contest really is a book original in content, theme, idea. This is very important. The design of the book, and of course, her social sound” – says the Director of the publishing house “Belarusian encyclopedia named Petrus Brovki” Vladimir Andrievich.
The contest “Art of book” among the CIS countries was held for the 16th time, this year in Baku.
