Age restrictions on residents leaving the country increased to 40 years. And officially, this power is not misleading
“On 25 June, Dashoguz learned in the migration service that the ban on leaving Turkmenistan for the citizens of the country increased from 30 to 40 years,” according to local publication, reports the Politek.
According to local residents, the officials of the migration services refer to the alleged “order from above” about the new age limit to 40 years.
“To the question about the reason for the ban, said that in the province there is no one left capable of working. Said if you all leave, who will work,” the radio quoted one local resident.
It should be noted that the ban on leaving the country the authorities of Turkmenistan are not officially announced. Do not inform the population about the presence of age, gender and other restrictions on travel of citizens and the country’s media.
It is also unofficially reported not only introduced in the spring of the age limit on leaving (we were talking about the ban for 30 years and younger), but the cases of dismissal of women on international flights.
While official data on the number of traveling outside of Turkmenistan’s citizens are not available.
However, according to local observers, due to the ongoing economic crisis accompanied by unemployment, rising prices and food shortages, migration, especially labor, has acquired a mass character.
Moreover, in connection with the mass migration from the country, the cases of conscription of students, that is, literally from school.
