In the opinion of the operator, it significantly reduces the likelihood of such exceptions.2 Nord Stream AG, the sole shareholder of which is Gazprom, said that “the Nord stream — 2” is entitled to withdraw from the scope of the updated guidelines, because the project was invested before the new legislation entered into force. The project “Northern stream — 2” involves the construction of two pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas off the coast of Russia through the Baltic sea to Germany. It is planned to finish in 2019. The pipeline passes through the territorial waters or exclusive economic zones of Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Germany.
