The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on 18 December adopted a number of decisions in the health sector. This was reported by the press service of the government.
The government extended a pilot project on transplantation to 2020.
“This will allow us to expand the number of participants in the pilot project to enter into contracts with everyone who makes the transplant and has a license for the transplantation. Will also allow to envisage the use of funds to pay for the transplant from abroad”, – stated in the message.
In addition, the Cabinet adopted a decision according to which on the website of the Ministry of health patients will be able to see information about the order of consideration of applications for the direction of the Ukrainians for treatment abroad and the current status of their consideration.
In Ukraine from 1 January 2019, the law permitting organ transplants. It States that every adult citizen of Ukraine may agree to post-mortem donation or to refuse it. The Minister of health of Ukraine Zoryana Skaletska reported that the transplantation system could be launched in Ukraine in February 2020.
