The Ukrainian side can return to the Assembly in 2020
The Ukrainian delegation can return to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in January 2020.
In his opinion, the refusal of the Ukrainian side to go to the session in October was an adequate response to the return of the Russian delegation in PACE. In January, Ukraine should return to work in this body.
“Very easy to explain. In January there will be a reboot of the Assembly, replaced the head, people who feet, hands, ears and eyes returned to Russia in PACE, will lose their positions. There will be a chance to update,” – said Kuleba.
He also stressed that the Russians, in the PACE back because he considered the Ukrainian position is hard enough.
“When recalled its Ambassador in protest against the incident, they flinch. Because for the first time in the history of the organization, the member state withdrew its Ambassador. Then, when we withdrew the invitation to observe the elections, they also trembled, because I didn’t think that we will go for it,” – said Kuleba.
In addition, he accused the head of the PACE, Liliane Maury Pasquier in the manipulation rules of the Assembly, when she was deprived of the rights former the delegation of Ukraine.
“I think that January is the opportunity to return to the Assembly, to show that we are capable of tough decisions, if our interests are strictly ignored. To leave the Assembly once and for all is flatly wrong. Hit you hit her back. But to leave the ring is wrong,” – said Deputy Prime Minister.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that the PACE created a coalition in support of Ukraine.
Earlier also it was reported that Ukraine will take a decision on the work of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to the end of the year.
