After the Hospital Saint-Luc and Hôtel-Dieu, Hôpital Notre-Dame is the last of the three hospitals of the CHUM to move to the new facility.

The Centre hospitalier de l’université de Montréal (CHUM) request to the sick to avoid going to the emergency room of the Hospital Notre-Dame.

Next Sunday, the CHUM will complete the move of the hospital by transferring patients hospitalized at Our Lady. This is to ensure that the operation goes well and with safety as the BOYFRIEND asks the population not to go to the emergency room of the Hospital Notre-Dame.

People needing care are invited to go to a clinic or emergency room near their home, or, for immediate assistance, dial 911.

The president of the Centre of command for the transfers, Danielle Fleury, argues that to move a hospital of the size of Notre-Dame represents a major challenge because the people who are hospitalized have serious diseases that require cutting-edge expertise.

Sunday, starting at 5 pm, the Hospital emergency department, Our Lady will close its doors and reopen at midnight under the governance of the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’île-de-Montréal. The hospital will become a centre of general care and specialty.

Then, at 7 pm, about 175 hospitalized patients will be transported to the CHUM. This transaction is expected to be completed in the afternoon.

More than 300 members of the staff, doctors, paramedics and volunteers will be directly involved in to this day.
