Проект мовної реформи: як у Міносвіти хочуть вирішити питання з російською мовою в школах

The head of the Ministry of education Lilia Grinevich presented the document during a meeting of the Cabinet Tuesday, 13 March. In addition, the Ministry of education offer trehuaco model for Ukrainian students, whose parents wish their training in the languages of national minorities − that is, everyone except Ukrainian, informs Rus.Media.

The first model is intended for indigenous peoples of Ukraine, who do not live in the language environment and do not have the structure of the state that this language is protected and developed – especially students-the Crimean Tatars. They will be able to learn in their native language – but only together with a thorough study of the Ukrainian language all the school years.

The second model is for pupils of schools of national minorities related to the languages of the European Union. Along with the study of the Ukrainian, children will learn the language of national minorities in primary school. In the 5th grade not less than 1/5 of the annual amount of teaching time should be teaching in Ukrainian, with a gradual increase to 9 th grade at least 40% of subjects were studied in that language. In high school the percentage increases to 60.

Specially for Russian-language classes provided by the third model. In elementary school, teaching will be conducted in the language of national minorities along with the study of Ukrainian and 5th class at least 80% of teaching time will be read in the state language.

In addition, in the bill it is planned that teachers will receive much greater autonomy in creating programs and developing a system of evaluation and promotion. Teachers will receive 10-20% of salary for the superintendence of resource rooms, classrooms for Informatics and gyms.

In the near future it is expected that the Cabinet will adopt a bill on the reform of secondary education in the Parliament.
