On the 21st of February, or a little less than two and a half years after the sad events that led him before the justice, the former radio host Martin Pouliot will plead guilty to the charges brought against him.
This is what has been announced, Thursday, in the court room at the judge, Rachel Gagnon, who was brought to the court.
The man, 49-year-old intends to dispose of its record of impaired driving causing bodily harm, but also of its record of non-compliance of the order.
Released in the wake of his accident, Pouliot was arrested again, on September 27, 2019, because he was driving his vehicle in the middle of the night, in violation of his conditions of release.
The result of this new arrest, Pouliot had chosen to remain in detention and his lawyer, mr. Christian Bélanger, had stressed to members of the media that his client did not wish “to testify to the lady” involved in the accident.
He had also added that the life of the former presenter was “become a hell,” especially because he was overwhelmed by regret to the place of the victim.
Let us recall that in the night of 1 to 2 October 2017, the police Department of the City of Quebec had proceeded to arrest Martin Pouliot, following a violent collision occurred in the area of Neufchatel in Quebec city.
The victim was riding on the boulevard Johnny-Parent branch is at the edge of a Mazda sedan when she was struck at the intersection of the boulevard Saint-Jacques for an SUV, Audi Q5, travelling to the north on Saint-Jacques.
