The head of the constitutional court of Moldova has resigned

Mihai Poalelungi, head of the constitutional court of Moldova, resigned. The reasons for this decision, he said, TV channel “MIR 24”.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Moldova, Maia Sandu asked to leave their posts from all the members of the constitutional court. It happened after they took a number of decisions have provoked a political crisis.

Judge temporarily suspended the powers of the President Igor Dodon and declared illegal the appointment of the leader of the party of socialists Zinaida Greceanii, speaker of the Parliament, and Maia Sandu – the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

A few days later the constitutional court annulled its decisions.
