Ivan Valentine was born in 1976 in Petrozavodsk. Graduated from the law faculty of Petrozavodsk state University. Public service came in 2009. For two years he held the position of head of Department of forest and hunting economy of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation. After that, also held senior positions in the Ministry of natural resources, Rosprirodnadzor and the Federal forestry Agency.
