Orthodox celebrate the feast of the Holy Trinity, according to “WORLD 24”. This is one of the main Christian holidays. The concept of the Trinity is that God is one but exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit.
According to the Bible, this day on the apostles the Holy Spirit came. After this event the disciples of Jesus Christ received the ability to heal people and speak all the languages of the world to preach.
The Trinity is the birthday of the Church. Thousands of people, through Apostolic preaching, were baptized and became Christians. The feast of the Holy Trinity is celebrated on the 50th day after Easter, so Pentecost is also called.
“The feast of the Holy Trinity, when the Holy Spirit descends on the apostles, and through them, and then builds up the Church as the body of Christ, is the reunification of humanity. At the time of the descent of the Holy spirit we pray to God our Lord to enlighten each of us the grace of the Holy spirit, the divine energy, the divine power, which alone can give salvation for man on earth”, explains the priest Kirill Kiselev.
On this day the believers go to Church for the divine Liturgy. The service at Trinity, particularly solemn. Inside temples are decorated with flowers, greenery and twigs of trees.
