The Pyrénées-Atlantiques remains the department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine where the incidence rate of Covid 19 is the highest. It stabilized this weekend at 137 per 100,000 inhabitants, against 85 on average in the region.
Between December 7 and 13, 15,820 people were tested in Béarn and the Basque Country, 936 were positive, i.e. a stable positivity rate at 5.9% (compared to 4.7% on average in New Aquitaine).
219 patients are hospitalized in the health establishments of the department, including 24 in intensive care in the hospitals of Pau and Bayonne.
Since the start of 2020, the Covid has resulted in the deaths of 251 people in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
