The little secrets of instruments … revealed by Sabine Quindou and the Auditorium-Orchester national de Lyon

It’s new. The journalist, presenter of the show “#Thalassa” on France 3 has just launched, with her show company, a web-series in 6 episodes. Sabine and “La Voix” invite you to discover the backstage of the Auditorium and the hidden face of the musicians’ work.

The shooting and editing of the 6 episodes “the little secrets of the instruments” took place between December 8 and 24. “The tone is deliberately light and funny, the information absolutely verified, all full of enthusiasm.“Sabine Quindou explains. The first two sections are already available, the next four will be published at the rate of one per week every Tuesday.

In one of these episodes, devoted to the harp, Sabine discovers a trunk “that looks like a DIY briefcase“in the basements of the Lyon auditorium. She is charged by” La Voix “to bring it as quickly as possible to Eléonore Euler-#Cabantous, harpist of the national orchestra of Lyon. This is the occasion, with a lot of humor, to get to know the instrument. We then learn that the musician knows how to repair her harp herself, and change a string. In five minutes, the staging, made up of dialogues with the musicians, of Sabine’s explanations, and comments from “the voice”, somewhat recalls the blessed days of a cult television show that Sabine co-presented: “This is not rocket science“.
