So consider the majority of the citizens of both countries, as evidenced by the results of a joint survey of “Levada-center” and the Kiev international Institute of sociology (KIIS)
According to the study, this opinion is shared by 54% of Russians and 49% of Ukrainians. The opposite point of view — about closed borders, visa and customs regimes was expressed by 23% of respondents in Russia and 41% in Ukraine.
About a single state mentioned 19% of Russian respondents and 3% Ukrainian.
Meanwhile, as evidenced by the results of a joint sociological research, currently the Nations of Russia and Ukraine are warm to each other. So, its a good attitude to Ukrainians was declared by 56% of Russians. In turn, 54% of respondents in Ukraine said about positive attitude towards Russian citizens.
About their negative attitude to each other, said, according to the survey, 31% of Russians and 35% of Ukrainians. Studies have shown that 13% of Russian citizens and 12% of Ukrainians have not decided its attitude to the neighboring country.
In Russia “Levada-center” conducted a survey during the period 26 September-2 October, 2019 on a representative nationwide sample of urban and rural population of 1601 people aged 18 years and older in 137 settlements 50 subjects of the Russian Federation. In Ukraine, the Kyiv international Institute of sociology conducted the survey from 6 to 16 September 2019 2035 among respondents.
