    The mayor of Cournonterral denies a new episode of pollution in Coulazou

    In mid-December 2020, a municipal councilor from Pignan affirmed on social networks that hundreds of fish were floating on the surface of the Coulazou river, at Cournonterral (Hérault). The mayor of the town denies this allegation. According to William Ars, this phenomenon dates from the end of September and all measures have been taken since.

    For Martin Arcay, there would have been two episodes of pollution: one in September and another in December, photos in support. After verification, it turns out that these photos are from September.

    At the end of September, after discovering the hundreds of dead fish, thethe town hall had filed a complaint. A study of the waters was carried out. All relevant bodies have been seized to understand. The results are to fall during the month of January.

    the mayor of Cournonterral specifies that he sent his municipal police officers to the site on several occasions to verify that there were no other phenomena of excess fish mortality. The agents found nothing abnormal. Williams Ars knows however that these phenomena are regular and ensures that everything will be put in place to remedy it.
